Andrea Bertocco
Founder & Lead Designer

"I am the lead designer and founder of studiodre. My design journey began decades ago in Brazil, where I graduated in Architecture and co-founded a design practice called Loft with a friend and partner—an endeavor that spanned several years. Seeking new horizons, I ventured to the United States, specifically to the San Francisco Bay Area, where I pursued further education in interior architecture and design, at UC Berkeley, and later an MFA in Design at CCA, honing my design skills. After years in the corporate world, working extensively with commercial clients, I redirected my focus to residential design, prioritizing a more personal and intimate approach. My passion lies in assisting clients to authentically express their personalities within the spaces they call home, crafting creative solutions that resonate with their unique character and lifestyle. Each project presents an exhilarating challenge, and I derive immense joy from tailoring spaces to meet diverse needs, observing the evolution from conceptualization to reality. Beyond design, I am an animal lover, mostly vegan, and a certified yoga instructor. When away from work, I often explore the scenic trails of the Tahoe area, practice yoga, or embark on new travel exploration. I am certified by the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) and hold a LEED AP (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) accreditation, emphasizing sustainability in my design approach."

"I am a Brazilian architect, recently graduated and currently working as a designer at studiodre. Presently, I find myself deeply immersed in the world of interior design, contributing my creativity to the firm's projects. Drawing inspiration from Brazil's culturally rich environment and diverse aesthetics, I try bring a unique perspective to every project I participate. With a keen eye for detail and a commitment to blending functionality with aesthetics, I aim to create spaces that not only captivate the senses but also reflect the essence of both form and function. As a person with a soft spot for landscape design, I am profoundly passionate about the intersection of design and nature. I firmly believe that our built environment should harmonize with the natural world. Consequently, I seek to create spaces that seamlessly integrate with the surrounding natural environment, fostering a sense of tranquility and connection. My goal is to contribute to the creation of atmospheres that not only enhance the quality of life for occupants but also reflect a deep appreciation for the beauty and balance found in the coexistence of architecture and nature."
